Friday Five

Sorry for the lack of updates, been really busy this week.

1. USC's Lane Kiffin just got a committment from a 13-year old QB. Is it wrong to get a committment from someone so young?

2. Where does the never-ending off-season of Johnny Damon end? Tigers? Yankees? Someone else?

3. What's the worst contract in sports right now. how about the worst contract ever?

4. Who has the better day at the Super Bowl: Drew Brees or Peyton Manning?

5. With the NFL draft coming up, we have to ask the question: What's the best name you've ever heard on the NFL draft.

I'll go first.

1. I don't think it should be against the law, but I do think it's kinda creepy in some way.

2. At this point, it seems like it's the Tigers or nobody.

3. Right now, it might be Vince Carter. Shooting 38% and the Magic on the hoof for roughly 17 million until 2011. But it still goes to Barry Zito in San Francisco. Of all time: Probably the Mike Hampton deal—121 million dollars for 49 wins.

4. Manning. Sorry, Drew.

5. Look at the picture below.

1. It doesn't violate a law, but it should. The age of 13 may as well be 20 years away from the age of 18, which is the year most would say we're adults. It's slimy, but Kiffin obviously likes to play that way.

2. Boras has kicked so much dust into the air that this could drag out for weeks. How about Johnny back to the Red Sox? Why not?

3. Vernon Wells ain't getting any better at $18 million. He's starting to look fat, like a Jr. Andruw Jones. And they have to pay him for several more years. All time worst - Allan Houston's $100 million contract. It ruined the Knicks for a decade.

4. Peyton - he can inch closer to legend status (i.e., Montana and Unitas) if he plays well.

5. Debrickashaw Ferguson (sp?) - I just love that name.
