Friday Five

1. Should Jamarcus Russell have to give back some of the money the Raiders gave him?

2. Should athletes be on a sliding pay scale based on performance: The better they perform, the more they earn?

3.Who would you rather play 2nd base on your team: Chase Utley, Robinson Cano or Dustin Pedroia?

4. What about Tim Lincecum or Ubaldo Jiminez?

5. What's the worst commercial starring an athlete?

1. No, the Raiders should have known what they were getting. Plus they way the NFL will spit you out at the first sign of faltering because contracts aren't guaranteed...

2. I would actually be content if all athletes just had one year contracts every season.

3. Utley

4. I wouldn't have either playing 2nd base for me. Lincecum has fewer errors though, so I guess him. :D

5. There was one locally, back in the mid-'90s, that "starred" Jason Kidd and Brad Davis that was just awful. 15 years later me and my friends still make fun of it.

1. The Raiders should honor their agreement.

2. It makes sense in many instances to have incentive clauses, especially with veterans.

3. Cano

4. Lincecum

5. Steve Largent and Jim Zorn's milk commercial. It's awful:

1. Nope, not his problem.

2. I like incentives better.

3. Dustin Pedroia

4. Lincecum. Jimenez will regress.

5. Some of the ones I see on NESN with Red Sox players are painful, especially Pedroia with Sullivan Tires.
